This category covers how to debate against an AI (hereafter “AI debate”).
The goal is not to become good at debating. AI debate trains two broad abilities:
- Writing skill
- Reasoning ability (idea generation, logical thinking, and critical thinking)
Critical thinking is also what lets you use AI’s answers with healthy skepticism rather than blindly trusting them. In other words, writing skill and critical thinking are non-negotiable for using AI well. No matter who you are, if you intend to use AI, this is the recommended starting point.
